Visit Ruapehu have unveiled its innovative concept to promote the region during next year’s Rugby World Cup.  Ruapehu Rugby 2011

The Twenty Dollars and Eleven Cents ($20.11) concept is a twist on the year that the Rugby World Cup will be held in New Zealand.  It provides a framework for Ruapehu businesses to embrace Rugby World Cup visitors by devising services and products value-based offerings for $20.11.   If you are a visitor related business in the Ruapehu region become invovled.  Don't delay.

The application of the concept can be varied with an emphasis on value and special offers to the amount of $20.11.  Examples of applications may be special menu combinations, ski lessons or rental packages, retail merchandise, event admission tickets, accommodation offerings to the value of $20.11.

The concept has been enthusiastically welcomed by the visitor industry owners and representatives already.  “There is much more to be done as we implement the concept, but already tourism businesses are developing ideas to make sure they fully embrace the $20.11 concept”, concludes Mike Smith, Acting Chair, Visit Ruapehu.
